Numeroși tineri europeni sunt gata să se ofere voluntari sau să muncească pentru o cauză nobilă, participând la proiecte în cadrul cărora ajutorul lor contează, și să manifeste solidaritate cu cei mai puțin norocoși. Poate fi însă greu să găsești ocazia potrivită. De aceea se înființează Corpul european de solidaritate.

Corpul european de solidaritate le va oferi tinerilor posibilitatea de a dobândi o experiență valoroasă, de a-și dezvolta competențele și de a contribui la binele societății. Dacă ești un tânăr care dorește să capete experiență în domeniul voluntariatului ori experiență profesională sau o organizație care dorește să atragă tineri pentru activitățile sale destinate să promoveze solidaritatea, s-ar putea ca soluția să fie Corpul european de solidaritate

În centrul acestui efort se află „noul început pentru dialogul social", un demers comun al instituțiilor UE și al partenerilorsociali pentru continuarea consolidării dialogului social la nivelul UE și la nivel național.
